Entry Requirements

The National College of Defence Studies offers Strategic Courses primarily for senior leaders. Admission is strictly by nomination and selection.

• Military Officers: Senior military officers of the rank of Colonel or equivalent.
• Civilian Participants: Senior officers from other security agencies, Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of equivalent status to Colonel.
• International Participants: Nominated senior officers from allied African countries.

How to Apply

Participation in the NCDS programme is based on institutional nomination. Interested and qualified senior officers should contact their respective Service Headquarters, Ministry, or Agency for nomination procedures. The course is a cohort-based, residential programme designed to foster intense collaboration and networking.
