The National College of Defence Studies (NCDS) has held an induction religious service for participants of Course 3–2026. The service took place on Sunday, 26 April 2026, at the Church of Pentecost Burma Camp Worship Centre (BCWC) in Burma Camp.
The service was held under the theme, “Sustainable Development Through National Cohesion and Morality,” with scriptural references from Leviticus 19:15–18 and Luke 10:25–37.
Delivering the sermon, Apostle Brigadier General Benjamin Godson Kumi-Woode of the Church of Pentecost urged participants to remain focused on their studies and uphold simple guiding principles that would positively influence both their academic journey and future leadership responsibilities.
The Guest of Honour, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and Member of Parliament for La Dade-Kotopon, described the occasion as the beginning of a transformational journey for the participants. She noted that the course would refine their leadership abilities, strengthen their character, and enhance their capacity to contribute meaningfully to national and international development.
She further encouraged participants to give their utmost commitment throughout the programme to graduate with distinction. She also urged them to remain resolute in their professional engagements and embrace teamwork, emphasizing its importance in shaping the future of the nation.
Dignitaries present at the service included the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General Stephen Woseadzikpo Kweku Parbey; Commandant of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), Air Vice Marshal David Anetey Akrong; and the Commander of the Army Training and Doctrine Command, Commodore Maxwell Arhen. Retired officers and their families were also in attendance.
