As part of the College’s curricula for Term Three, the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS) embarked on an Experiential Research Study Tour (ERST) in two separate Teams, simultaneously to Brazil and Qatar, from 10 to 20 August 2024. The sub-theme; “Linkages between Environment, Security and Development in Brazil and Qatar” was derived from the theme of Course 1-23, "Environment, Security and Development.” The Tour's main objective was to expose Participants to formulating policies in the context of environmental protection, security and national development, and to explore the practicalities of the learning experience as they manifest in the countries toured. The Teams received presentations/briefings from stakeholders in Brazil and Qatar and conducted tours to gain insights to assist in the research. Participants will present their findings during the first week of Term Four.
