The National College of Defence Studies (NCDS) recently hosted a crucial seminar on parliamentary oversight of the defence sector. The event, held on 17 October 2024, brought together esteemed Members of Parliament (MPs) and experts to discuss the legal frameworks, budgetary considerations, and the importance of specialised training for parliamentarians involved in defence matters. The event highlighted the need for a comprehensive approach to ensuring effective oversight and decision-making in Ghana's defence sector. The panellists were MP for Korle Klottey constituency - Hon Dr Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings, Former MP for La-Dadekotopon Constituency - Hon Vincent Sowah Odotei, MP for Builsa North Constituency - Hon James Agalga, and the Vice-Dean of the College - Dr Patrick Osei-Kufuor who chaired the occasion.
